A 23-year-old man was rescued by emergency services after the collapse of a construction site that left him trapped under the rubble, in the mayor’s office Cuauhtémoc.
The incident occurred inside a construction site on Lerma Street where emergency services were called. Upon arrival, they were told that a person was trapped under a beam inside the building.
Staff of the Rescue and Medical Emergency Squad worked in coordination with firefighters to remove the construction material and perform the rescue operation.

After moving the stones, emergency services were able to rescue the 23-year-old. He was transported to ground level on a stretcher and evaluated. Medical assessment revealed an exposed fracture of the tibia and fibula of his left leg.
Due to the severity of the injuries, the construction worker was taken to a hospital for specialized medical care.
The emergency response caused temporary road traffic congestion in the area to facilitate the passage of rescue units. Normal traffic flow was restored after the rescue operation was completed.
