El Jadida Horse Show: The Military History Directorate of the FAR EMG is organizing a historical exhibition
Rabat – In execution of the High Instructions of His Majesty the King, may God assist Him, Supreme Commander and Chief of General Staff of the FAR, relating to the participation of the Royal Armed Forces in the 14th edition of the “Salon du Cheval” Exhibition in El Jadida, the Directorate of Military History of the EMG of the FAR is organizing a historical exhibition, under the theme ”Horsemen of the Merinid Dynasty: Apogee of Monte Zénète”.
This exhibition aims to highlight the aspects of Moroccan civilization during the Marinid era, particularly related to architecture, culture and science. It also sheds light on the organization, achievements and exploits of the Moroccan army at that time.
In the same vein, the exhibition highlights the “Monte Zénète”, this authentic heritage which remains at the origin of the “Tbourida” and which is still present today in the Moroccan popular memory. It is worth noting that in recognition of the historical value of this Moroccan heritage, UNESCO inscribed it, in December 2021, on the list of intangible world heritage of Humanity.
For its part, the FAR Cavalry Inspection is participating in this exhibition by leading the focus on “The Contribution of the FAR Cavalry to Sustainable Development”, as stated in a press release. This participation focuses mainly on the Horse, which remains a factor generating economic activities and social development.
