MONZA. Monza passes. In the sultry evening of the Brianteo, Südtirol leaves the stage of the Coppa Italia at the end of an (almost) endless sequence of penalty kicks, where the one kicked by Praszelik, intercepted by the good Pizzignacco, was fatal. Südtirol leaves the scene with a bitter taste in its mouth and probably with some regret. The bitterness flows from having left the Brianza field with its head down but after having been able to stand up to mister Nesta’s strong opponent. The regret is linked to Casiraghi’s exit ten minutes from the end, a change that, if not dictated by physical needs, mister Valente could have avoided considering that Casiraghi is a specialist in penalty kicks. So much so! Südtirol, it is right to underline, nevertheless left with the honors of arms and with further awareness in view of the imminent start of the B series.
