The fire is believed to have started around 6:45 pm and by 7:30 pm, eleven aerial vehicles, three heliborne brigades, three amphibious aircraft, fifteen crews from the Provincial Firefighters Consortium of Alicante, six forest firefighters from the Generalitat, six fire engines, two coordinators, and an environmental agent were working to extinguish the flames.
Emergency Coordination Centre has been set up at Level 1 of the Special Forest Fire Plan (PEIF), which is activated when an emergency caused by one or more wildfires may seriously affect forest properties or slightly affect populations and non-forest properties, whose extinction may require the use of extraordinary means.
