Maschio Angioino: A Celebration of Neapolitan Music and Tradition
Maschio Angioino is at the heart of a vibrant August filled with emotions and culture, as part of the “Summer in Naples” program. From August 12th to the 25th, the festival will delight audiences with performances by talented artists, blending concerts, theater shows, and dances.
This enchanting journey through melodies, stories, and performances celebrates the rich cultural heritage of Naples.
Highlights of the Festival:
August 12th, 8:30 pm: Greg Rega takes the stage for “Notte di note,” featuring songs by Pino Daniele, Caruso’s repertoire, and unreleased works.
August 13th, 9:00 pm: Ines Rodriguez presents her one-woman show “Diva… l’altra parte di me,” exploring women’s stories and societal issues through an ancient trunk filled with memories.
August 17th, 9:30 pm: “Made in Naples,” a concert celebrating contemporary Neapolitan music, with vocals by Cristina Cafiero.
August 18th, 9:15 pm: “O mare e tu,” a variety show featuring classic and ironic Neapolitan songs, monologues, and quotes.
August 20th, 7:30 pm: “Mercoledì (Mmiezo ‘a semmana),” a play for adults and children inspired by the Addams family.
August 21st, 9:00 pm: “StraVaganti – Dialoghi in danza,” a contemporary dance festival featuring two shows: ”StraVaganza” and “Puccini for ever.”
August 22nd, 9:00 pm: “Oceano e mare, Sharada per un marinaio,” a theatrical reading with live musical accompaniment, based on Alessandro Baricco’s book.
August 25th, 8:45 pm: “Nujesimmo nate cu ddoje cammise…” features Gli Alleria Show performing Neapolitan classics with Mario Conte Show and Friends.
