The meeting took place in the presence of the president of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), Fouzi Lekjaa, a member of the CAF Executive Committee.
During the meeting, Mr. Lekjaa presented the Moroccan file, reiterating the Kingdom’s commitment, in accordance with the High instructions of HM King Mohammed VI, to strengthen South-South cooperation with African countries and promote their development in various fields.
He emphasized that Morocco is driven by a desire to contribute to the development of African football, and based on this conviction, the Kingdom has applied to host the CAN-2025.
Mr. Lekajaa promised a tournament that would be “safe, peaceful, adhering to international standards, and providing the best possible experience for players, fans, visitors, and viewers worldwide.”
Morocco is also continuing to modernize its sports infrastructure and make it available to African countries. It is also willing to share its expertise in organizing international competitions to inspire future generations and promote a more united, just, and tolerant world.
The FRMF President mentioned the developed infrastructures available in Morocco for the organization of this major African football event, including stadiums that meet CAF requirements and are ready to host the competition in various locations such as Rabat, Casablanca, Tangier, Fez, Marrakech, and Agadir.
He also highlighted Morocco’s extensive experience in organizing major events, not only in the sports field but across all sectors, thanks to its network of modern and developed infrastructures.
