At the kick-off ceremony of the 18th Grand Tournament of Friendship (GTA), organized by the Hassan II Agronomic and Veterinary Institute (IAV) from March 3rd to 5th this month, Minister Sadiki emphasized the importance of training agricultural executives as part of broader support for sector policies, including the Green Morocco Plan and the new Generation Green strategy, which aims to train 10,000 graduates by 2030.
“While technical training for engineers and executives is crucial, it is not enough,” the minister stated. “Assessment also involves the skills acquired during their studies and a set of values and knowledge that are unique to each individual.”
“Sports play a vital role in developing a range of conceptual and behavioral skills that contribute to shaping personality and charisma in students,” Mr. Sadiki added.
The minister emphasized the significance of the GTA, highlighting its contribution to improving training and supporting students throughout their academic journeys, while fostering collaboration between different educational institutions in the Kingdom.
The director of IAV Hassan II, Abdelaziz El Hraiki, noted that the tournament brings together 36 higher education institutions in the Kingdom. He emphasized that the competition offers opportunities for students to engage in sports and cultural activities, fostering new friendships and building connections.
The event was marked by the inauguration of IAV Hassan II’s new football field, which meets FIFA standards, allowing players to compete in optimal conditions.
Mr. Sadiki also witnessed the signing of a charter by the Student Offices (BDE) of all participating schools and universities. This charter aims to leverage university sports to promote the development of Moroccan youth and celebrate the diversity of talents in the country, fostering friendship and mutual understanding across communities.
