PPP Supports Rusli Effendi to Run for Anambas Islands Regent
On Saturday, August 10, 2024, the United Development Party (PPP) announced its support for Rusli Effendi to run for the position of Regent of the Anambas Islands in the upcoming Regional Head Elections (Pilkada) on August 17, 2024.
The party expressed its confidence in Rusli’s capabilities and experience, stating that he is a senior cadre with a deep understanding of the region’s development needs. He will run alongside Johari as his deputy regent candidate.
The announcement was marked by the submission of a recommendation letter from the Acting General Chairman of the PPP, Muhamad Mardiono. The party expressed its full support for its cadres running in the 2024 Pilkada.
Rusli Effendi expressed his readiness to accept the mandate and work towards a progressive future for the Anambas Islands.
