New Delhi: Indian batsman Mandeep Singh announced today that he will play for Tripura in the upcoming domestic season, after 14 years with Punjab.
Mandeep, who has played three T20 Internationals for India, expressed gratitude for his time with Punjab, highlighting their 2023-24 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy win under his captaincy. However, he felt it was time for a new chapter in his career and opted to join Tripura.
Domestic Career Highlights:
The 32-year-old has played 99 first-class matches, 131 List A, and 207 T20 matches in domestic cricket. He boasts impressive statistics:
First Class: 6448 runs at 47 (15 centuries, 34 half-centuries)
List A: 3855 runs at 36 (4 centuries, 28 half-centuries)
* T20: 3905 runs at 128 (19 fifties)
IPL Career:
Mandeep made his IPL debut in 2010 and has played 111 matches, scoring 1706 runs at 122. He has also played for Royal Challengers Bangalore, Kolkata Knight Riders, and Delhi Capitals alongside Punjab Kings.
