Film Flops at the Box Office
As hopes dwindle for box office success, the Indian film industry’s attention has shifted to the upcoming releases ‘Stree 2‘, ‘Khel Khel Mein’, and ‘Veda’. Sadly, recent releases like Ajay Devgan-Tabu’s ‘Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha’ and Janhvi Kapoor’s ‘Uljh‘ have failed to attract audiences.
Both films have struggled since their opening day, failing to capture the attention of viewers. ‘Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha’, with a budget of Rs 100 crore, has become one of Ajay Devgan’s biggest career flops. Conversely, ’Maidan’, his previous release, received critical acclaim despite its modest box office performance.
While ‘Shaitan’ proved a box office success this year, ‘Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha’ has failed to generate either praise or financial returns. Despite its weak performance, the film is unlikely to recoup its costs even if it surpasses the Rs 1 crore mark by August 15th.
‘Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha’ Earns Rs 90 Lakh on Tuesday
According to industry reports, ‘Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha’ earned Rs 90 lakh on Tuesday, its fifth day in theaters. This follows a collection of Rs 1 crore the previous day. After five days, the film has only managed to gross Rs 8.65 crore at the Indian box office.
‘Uljh’ Struggles to Reach Expectations
Janhvi Kapoor and Gulshan Devaiah’s ‘Uljh’, with a budget of Rs 50 crore, has performed even worse than ‘Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha’. The spy-thriller has earned only Rs 6.20 crore in its first five days in theaters.
Global Performance Remains Bleak
The poor performance of both films extends beyond Indian borders. ‘Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha’ has grossed Rs 11.75 crores globally in five days, while ’Uljh’ has made Rs 8.00 crores.
