Raipur: Politics has escalated following the arrest of five Naxalites in Chhattisgarh. During the operation, one Naxalite was identified as Vivek Singh, who served as an advisor to former CM Bhupesh Baghel‘s father, Nandkumar Baghel. This revelation led BJP MP Santosh Singh to claim a connection between Baghel and the Naxalites.
In response, former CM Baghel launched a scathing attack on the BJP. He accused the party of always questioning the deceased, citing historical instances like Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, and Indira Gandhi. He further countered Santosh Pandey’s statement that Vivek Singh, arrested alongside Naxalites in Mohla-Manpur district, had links to him and his father. “How can you question someone who is no longer alive to defend himself?” he asked.
Baghel accused the BJP of hypocrisy, claiming they have historically questioned prominent figures like Gandhi, Nehru, and Indira Gandhi. He accused Pandey of displaying mental instability by making such claims. He further alleged that Naxalites have been receiving weekly payments from BJP ministers in their bungalows.
