BSKDN Optimistic SKALA Program Can Increase Research & Utilization of Innovation in Regions
The Domestic Policy Strategy Agency (BSKDN) of the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) is optimistic that it can improve the implementation of research and the use of innovation in the regions through the implementation of the Synergy and Collaboration for Basic Service Acceleration (SKALA) program.
The program focuses on strengthening strategic elements in the local government system in Indonesia, including Public Financial Management (PFM), Minimum Service Standards (SPM), planning and budgeting, and local leadership. It also aims to strengthen the perspective and mainstream the inclusion of gender equality, disability, and social inclusion.
Head of BSKDN Kemendagri Yusharto Huntoyungo explained that the SKALA program will ensure that research implementation in the regions is more focused and impactful. The results can be optimally utilized by local governments to improve the innovation ecosystem in their respective regions.
The program is set to collaborate with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) Australia in the form of a short course to be held in Gorontalo Province. During the training, BSKDN will provide direction regarding the urgency of implementing innovation for participants representing various regions.
