2024-08-11 03:43:59
The Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) has decided to lift the floor price on shares of three companies listed in the capital market. This decision was announced on Sunday (July 11).
The three companies whose floor price will be lifted are:
Beximco
Shahjibazar Power
* Khulna Power
The floor price was originally imposed in March 2020 as a measure to stabilize the capital market during a period of significant decline. It was withdrawn in July 2021 but was reimposed in July 2022 due to market volatility caused by the Russia-Ukraine war.
BSEC Chairman Professor Shibli Rubaiyat-ul-Islam signed a directive on August 8 to lift the floor price from the three aforementioned companies. The floor price will be withdrawn from these companies from Sunday. The floor price will be lifted from BSRM Limited, Islami Bank, and Meghna Petroleum from August 14.
