US-Iran, remote “war” to impress: from submarines to missiles to drones, here are the messages to impress
The US has sent a nuclear submarine with 154 cruise missiles to the Mediterranean: a warning to Iran and Hezbollah. The Pentagon has actually released photos of the work done in the eastern Mediterranean since then, featuring the Georgia submarine, one of the vehicles sent for preventive purposes.
Then, reports emerged from Corriere della Sera, showing pictures of the exercises that took place in July, alongside information about the destruction of Marines and the movement of the amphibious assault ship Wasp, which supports the MEU 24 (Marine Expeditionary Unit). Additionally, the arrival of F-18s from Roosevelt aircraft at an undisclosed base in the Middle East raised concerns, as these jets are part of the ”Negative Negotiation” strategy implemented inside Jordan. This formation is designed to counter both missiles and drones in the area.
The carrier itself, if Tehran decides to retaliate, will also receive this quarter. This occurred during the April retaliation, with Jordanian participation. Recent days have seen inconsistencies regarding a potential Israeli use of Jordanian airspace to block Iranian attacks, with some reports suggesting the opposite.
The US military has also been active in the region. F-15 and F-22 jets were sent to al Udeid in Qatar, a key pillar of the military machine in the Gulf. The Central Command reported destroying a missile launcher and two drones inside Yemen, claiming they posed a threat to navigation in the Red Sea.
The White House has issued warnings to the Iranian government, while providing financial assistance of $3.5 billion to Israel, which can be used to purchase weapons in the US.
In response, the Iranian government displayed new cruise missiles hidden in “civilian” trucks and new drones. The Navy Guard also released a video discussing the “rotation” of Western ships in the Gulf.
Several American soldiers were injured in a drone strike in the al Hasakah region of northeastern Syria, where some US troops are stationed.
