Claudia Sheinbaum Discusses Upcoming Book and Government Transition
Claudia Sheinbaum, Mexico‘s newly elected president, announced her plans to write a book detailing her experiences during her tours and the transition period from the outgoing president, Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador.
“I made the decision to write because every time we go on tour, I write about both the emotional issues and what we experience during the day,” Sheinbaum shared. “I already have a lot of notes, and I think it is worth sharing.”
Sheinbaum emphasized the historic nature of the transition, highlighting the unprecedented continuity of projects from one administration to another. ”We recognize the President’s career and what he has achieved in these six years,” she said. “We are also experiencing a transformation process of which we are a part.”
When questioned about a recent meeting between the future security secretary and the president, Sheinbaum confirmed awareness of the gathering but denied her future cabinet members would be part of a roll call. “Obviously, the President of the Republic can call any citizen,” she stressed.
