Barwani: Police Arrest Seven in Planned Robbery

The Khetia police in Barwani district of Madhya Pradesh have arrested seven people, including six from Maharashtra, for planning a large-scale robbery. A government-issued pistol was also recovered from the accused.
Police received information from an informer and raided a location near a petrol pump, where the suspects were spotted running away. The following individuals were arrested:
Rohit Gavit and Amol Gavit (Navapur, Maharashtra)
Vishnu Chaudhary (Shahada)
Karan Naik
Ramesh (alias Trishul Baba) (Niwari, Barwani)
* Two minor accused
During the raid, police also recovered a government 9 mm pistol, a knife, agricultural equipment, and a car. The suspects had planned to rob either a petrol pump or a house in Khetia.

Pistol Recovered: Stolen in 2022
The recovered pistol was revealed to have been stolen from the house of an ASI in Shahada, Maharashtra, in 2022. The accused, Trishul Baba, previously faced another criminal charge.
The suspects were presented in court and remanded in police custody for one day. Further investigation is ongoing.
