British American Tobacco Tops Dhaka Stock Exchange Transactions
On the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), the British American Tobacco Bangladesh Company (BATBC) Ltd., listed in the food and related sector, emerged as the top traded company and mutual fund during the week of August 5th to 8th.
This information was revealed in DSE’s weekly market review published on Saturday (August 10th).
During the week, BATBC shares were traded for Tk 34.72 crore, accounting for 4.16 percent of the total transactions on DSE. This performance placed the company at the top of the trading list.
Following BATBC, Square Pharma ranked second with shares traded for Tk 28.46 crore (3.41 percent of total transactions), while City Bank came in third with shares traded for Tk 25.69 crore (3.08 percent of total transactions).
Other notable transactions included Unilever Consumer (Tk 24 crore 65 lakh 60 thousand), BRAC Bank (Tk 22 crore 47 lakh 40 thousand), Techno Drugs (Tk 20 crore 86 lakh 30 thousand), Uttara Bank (Tk 18 crore 22 lakh 10 thousand), Sea Pearl Hotel (15 crore 37 lakh 40 thousand taka), Trust Bank (15 crore 24 lakh 70 thousand taka), and Robi Aziata (12 crore 88 lakh taka).
