## Israel Uses Precision-Guided Bomb in Gaza School Raid
Israel used a US-made precision-guided bomb during its raid on the Al-Tabi’in school in Gaza City, which killed 125 Palestinians.
According to the American CNN network, Trevor Paul, a former explosive ordnance disposal technician in the US Army, identified the bomb as a small-diameter GBU-39, manufactured by Boeing. This precision munition is designed to attack strategically important targets while minimizing collateral damage.
While acknowledging the precision of the weapon, weapons expert Chris Cobb Smith, a former British Army artillery officer, emphasized the inherent risks of using any munition in a densely populated area.
The Director of the Supply Department of the Civil Defense Authority in Gaza, Muhammad Al-Mughair, reported that the Israeli army used three deadly American missiles, the “MK-84” or “Mark 84,” weighing over two thousand pounds and reaching temperatures of 7 thousand degrees, in the attack on the Al-Tabi’in School and Mosque.
Al-Mughair added that the school was sheltering approximately 2,400 displaced people before it was targeted.
The Israeli army claimed it used precision weapons and ammunition to minimize civilian casualties.
The attack, which occurred during dawn prayers, resulted in the deaths of 125 Palestinians and left many injured.
