Taean-gun Receives Excellence Award for Job Creation Initiatives

Taean-gun has been recognized for its outstanding job creation initiatives, receiving the Excellence Award (Minister’s Award) in the ‘Excellent Business’ category from the Ministry of Employment and Labor. The award acknowledges the county’s efforts to tailor job opportunities to its unique characteristics.
The ‘National Local Government Job Awards’ assesses local governments nationwide on various criteria, including creativity, cooperation systems, industry linkage, and job placement success. Taean-gun’s ‘Taean-type Industrial Safety Specialist Field Safety Supervisor Training Course’ received particular praise for its impact on addressing the growing demand for industrial safety specialists.
The county has continued to proactively address local employment needs, providing training programs and facilitating job placements. Notably, 25 individuals successfully secured employment through a program held in February 2024, and an additional 30 are scheduled to graduate from a similar program starting in August.
Taean-gun has fostered partnerships with organizations such as Taean Power Plant Headquarters, Boryeong Women’s Human Resources Development Center, and the Ministry of Employment and Labor to strengthen its job creation initiatives.
“We are committed to creating quality jobs tailored to the needs of our community and revitalizing the local economy,” said Governor Gasero. “This award is a testament to our dedication to fostering a thriving job market in Taean-gun.”
