The concern of East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa towards the preservation of nature and mangrove forests has been recognized with an award from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK).
The award acknowledges Khofifah’s significant contributions to mangrove rehabilitation in East Java. This includes leading a movement to plant 7.1 million mangrove seedlings across 2,015.08 hectares of land in the region.
Khofifah’s commitment to mangrove conservation is further evidenced by her initiation of the oxygen charity movement, encouraging local participation in forest preservation.
