Olympiacos Triumph in Cyprus Friendly Match
Olympiacos secured a convincing 4-2 victory over AEL Limassol in their final pre-season friendly match in Cyprus. The Piraeus-based team ended their preparations for the upcoming season on a high note.
With a win, Olympiacos concluded their friendly matches. The team defeated AEL Limassol 4-2 in Cyprus and will now turn their attention to their opening match in the Stoiximan Super League next Saturday (17/8, 20:00) against Volos.
The “red and whites” took the lead 3-0 by halftime thanks to a seven-minute offensive surge from the 16th to the 23rd minutes, with goals from Abi, Velder, and Biel. The Cypriots reduced the gap at the end with goals from Bengtsson and Savo.
The cherry on top was added in the 89th minute by Fanis Bakoulas with a beautiful shot from the edge of the penalty area.

Olympiacos dominated the first half, creating several chances before finally opening the scoring in the 16th minute through Nelson Abi.
Velder doubled the lead in the 21st minute and added a third in the 23rd minute.
AEL Limassol pulled one back in the 78th minute and added another in the 84th minute.
Olympiacos secured the victory with a fourth goal in the 89th minute, courtesy of Masouras and Bakoulas.
