Prosecutors to Investigate Lim Jong-seok, a Key Figure, in ‘Suspicion of Appointment of Jungjin Construction’ Chairman
Former Chief of Staff to the President Lim Jong-seok revealed on the 11th that the prosecution had summoned a witness for questioning, criticizing, ”It is truly pitiful that the prosecution is still conducting a retaliatory investigation into the previous government.”
Lim wrote on Facebook that day, “The prosecution harassed former Senior Secretary for Personnel Cho Hyun-ok over the appointment of the chairman of the Small and Medium Business Administration in March 2018, and now it seems they are going to summon Lim Jong-seok.”
Lim expressed his frustration, “I cannot help but ask how long they plan to continue this political revenge investigation,” and “It is truly pitiful that the prosecution is still conducting a retaliatory investigation into the previous government while bowing down to those in power.”
He added, “I hope that the political prosecution, which has thrown away even the minimum level of fairness and principles, will face the fact that it has already lost the trust of the people. I will respond to the summons.”
However, former Chief Lim emphasized, “I would like to make it clear in advance that I have no intention of responding or making statements regarding each and every one of these unfair investigations, whether as a witness or as a defendant.”
