From the opening moments, Joris Moutachy made a costly mistake in his own penalty area, but Jurijus Kendyš came to the rescue, blocking Federico Palacios’ penalty.
In the 17th minute, Liviu Antalis, Žalgiris’ leading scorer this season, found himself alone in front of Linas Klimavičius, but Vytautas Černiauskas easily intercepted his shot.
The 35th minute saw a dangerous attack from the visitors. F. Palacios, who had escaped offside, passed the ball to Jeffrey Sarpong, whose shot narrowly missed the post.
