The state of Sonora was positioned in first place at national level with the greatest increase in its activity in the i sectormanufacturing industry with growth of 11.6 percent from April 2023 to April 2024, according to data from the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI)the governor reported Alfonso Durazo Montano.
The head of the state Executive highlighted that, according to the Monthly Indicator of Industrial Activity by Federal Entity (IMAIEF)with these figures the entity records the greatest growth Among the 32 federal entities of the country for the month of April, the highest in the entire history of Sonora, going from 108 to 121 points in the manufacturing indicator.
“With this increase in the industrial sector, Sonora maintains the leadership on the border with economic growth in the state, as recorded at the beginning of 2024 and during 2023,” he emphasized.
