Apple is considering changing the logo in the next generations of iPad. This was stated in an interview with the French publication Numerama by Apple product designer Molly Anderson, Day.Az reports with reference to Gazeta.ru.
The bitten apple logo could be flipped to display correctly when the user holds the tablet in landscape orientation, Anderson said.
“We’re thinking about it. The iPad has long been a product that’s used in portrait mode, but more and more people are using it in landscape mode. We can’t say that’s a done deal,” Anderson said.
To make the tablet easier to use in horizontal orientation, including in combination with the keyboard, Apple has already moved the front camera and Face ID sensors from the side to the top of the device. This avoids covering the sensors when unlocking and provides a more comfortable viewing angle during video calls.
While all of the tablet elements have been converted to be used primarily in a horizontal orientation, the logo is still designed for use in a vertical orientation.
