SIEL: Mohammed V University wins the prize for the most accessible stand

rab – Mohammed V University in Rabat won, on Saturday evening at the International Book and Publishing Fair (SIEL), the prize for the most accessible stand for people with disabilities in the “institutional exhibitors” category.

This award, which is in its 7th edition, was presented to the interim president of the university, Farid El Bacha, by the Minister of Solidarity, Social Integration and Family, Ms. Aawatif Hayar, and the Minister of Youth, Culture and Communication, Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid, in recognition of the university’s efforts to guarantee people with disabilities the right of access to knowledge and culture, the university said in a statement.

This distinction is a recognition of the efforts of all components of the university, Mr. El Bacha stressed in a statement quoted by the press release, adding that the issue of accessibility for people with disabilities is among the priorities of the university, which has worked for years to improve the quality of its activities in terms of accessibility of infrastructure, activities and content.

This prize, organized annually as part of SIEL activities, aims to raise awareness among the various participants and organizers of this annual book fair of the need to take appropriate measures to ensure accessibility for people with disabilities.
