BOLZANOShe died at the age of 31 in the mountains, after falling over 100 meters into a ravine: this is how she lost her life Valentina Finenurse from Bologna, also known in Bolzano for having worked at San Maurizio.
The tragedy on Alpe di Succiso, in the Reggio Emilia area, occurred on Saturday, around 4 pm. The girl was with her partner – who had filmed her just a short time before the tragedy as she was nimbly climbing the Pietra Tagliata pass and she had posted the video on her Facebook profile – and was walking along an exposed stretch of the Barbarossa trail when, for reasons yet to be clarified, she slipped into a very steep, rocky gully, falling for about a hundred meters.
Her partner raised the alarm immediately and she immediately took action: the Elipavullo helicopter took off and, a few minutes later, took on board a technician from the Emilia Romagna Alpine Rescue helicopter rescue service from the Cusna station, who operated together with the technical health team. When the rescuers, lowered with the winch, reached Valentina, the girl was still showing faint signs of life, but she died a few moments later, while the paramedics were trying to save her from death.
She arrived in Bolzano in 2020, in the midst of the pandemic, and stayed in the South Tyrolean capital for about a year.
