/ On Wednesday, the coach of the youth team, Ahmed Kazem, and the goalkeeper coach, Saleh Lotfi, concluded their tour in Salmaniya Governorate to discover the capabilities of the players born in 2008 with the aim of selecting the best of them for the national team in the coming period.
According to a statement from the team’s management, which was received by Agency, “The youth team is preparing during the coming month of March for the upcoming events, the closest of which is the Asian Cup qualifiers, preceded by other rounds that include most of the country’s city governorates to select a group of new players, and to reveal their technical capabilities and talents that did not get enough opportunity to appear.”
He explained that “the tour of Sulaymaniyah Governorate witnessed (16) teams from the age groups from the districts and sub-districts of the governorate, in addition to the teams of the city of Sulaymaniyah, playing test matches at the Peshmerga Club stadium, and in front of the eyes of the coach of the youth team, Ahmed Kazim, and the goalkeeper coach, Saleh Lotfi, where a clear artistic picture was formed for them about the raw materials that play in the governorate, and the talents that need to be polished.”
