jpnn.com – JAKARTA – Chairman of the Golkar Party Advisory Board Aburizal Bakrie (Ical) expressed his concern over the decision of the Golkar Party DPP General Chairman Airlangga Hartarto to resign from his position.
Ical even expressed his concern not only as an individual but on behalf of the Golkar Party Advisory Board.
However, on the other hand, Ical stated that he understood Airlangga’s decision to resign.
“The Advisory Board is concerned, but understands the decision taken by Airlangga to step down from the position of general chairman,” Ical told reporters, Monday (12/8).
Ical believes Airlangga has thought carefully about the decision he took. He even believes Airlangga prioritizes the interests of the nation and state above personal or group interests.
According to Ical, Airlangga chose to step down because he wanted to focus on ensuring the stability of the government transition from Jokowi-Ma’ruf Amin to the elected presidential pair from the 2024 Election, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka.
Ical assessed that Airlangga’s duties as Coordinating Minister for the Economy were quite complex and required extra focus.
Thus, the government transition period will run smoothly.
Ical expressed his concern and understanding of the reasons why Airlangga Hartarto chose to resign from his position.
