SoftBank to Launch Google Pixel 9 Series and Accessories, Including Pixel Buds Pro 2

～SB C&S starts handling “Google Pixel Buds Pro 2” and related accessories～

SoftBank Corporation will release the 5G-compatible*1 smartphones “Google Pixel 9” and “Google Pixel 9 Pro XL” on August 22, 2024, followed by “Google Pixel 9 Pro” and “Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold” on September 4, and Google’s wearable device “Google Pixel Watch 3” on September 10. Reservations for all models will begin on August 14, prior to their release.*2

In conjunction with the release, a campaign will be held where those who participate in a pre-lottery and then purchase the eligible models can receive PayPay points worth up to 30,000 yen. Additionally, SB C&S Corporation (hereinafter referred to as “SB C&S”) will start handling Google’s wireless earphones “Google Pixel Buds Pro 2” on September 26 and related accessories starting August 22 at SoftBank shops nationwide (excluding some stores) and at SB C&S’s online shop “Toreteku! SoftBank Selection”.

Features of Each Model

The “Google Pixel 9”, “Google Pixel 9 Pro”, “Google Pixel 9 Pro XL”, and “Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold” come equipped with the latest processor specifically developed for Pixel, “Google Tensor G4”, allowing for convenient AI (Artificial Intelligence) functionalities. With the “Group Shot” feature*3, you can naturally combine subjects from different photos, and the “Auto Frame” feature*4 suggests optimal cropping positions and allows you to enlarge selected subjects, in addition to utilizing Google’s advanced AI feature “Gemini”*5.

The smartwatch “Google Pixel Watch 3” is equipped with “Wear OS 5.0” and features an excellent battery saver that allows for use for up to 36 hours*6, achieving longer battery life compared to its predecessor. It enables access to Google’s apps and services, and recommends personalized training programs tailored to customers to support real-time goal achievement. The “Google Pixel Watch 3” is available in two sizes, 41mm for easy use as in the previous model, and 45mm for a larger screen to easily view various apps and facilitate operation.

About the Campaign

In conjunction with the release, a “PayPay Gacha Campaign” will be held, offering up to 30,000 yen worth of PayPay points*7. Customers who purchase the eligible models*8 at “SoftBank” after participating in the pre-lottery starting August 14, and then apply via a dedicated page after August 22, will receive the PayPay points indicated during the pre-lottery, ranging from 5,000 yen to 30,000 yen. Additionally, there will be a campaign offering up to 8,000 yen worth of PayPay points via lottery for those who purchase the “Lenovo 14e Chromebook Gen 3” along with the eligible models at “SoftBank”*9. SoftBank Selection”.
