In the first seven months of the year, foreign investment expectations reached an investment of 48 thousand 35 million dollars (mdd) that are added to the 110 thousand 744 mdd reported in 2023, the Ministry of Economy.

Main countries of origin: USA (46%), Germany (14%)Argentina (9%), while the main economic sectors of intention are manufacturing (53%), commerce (14%) and transportation (11%). In the case of mass media, an investment of 10% is expected, construction 7% and the main Mexican entities where the firms are trying to reach continue to be Querétaro 14%, Edomex 10%, Nuevo León 9% and Puebla 6%, in addition to Coahuila 4%.
The main public announcements that were made in the update period (July 1 to 31, 2024) and come from Mota-Engil and Duro Felguera, construction of a fertilizer plant (US$1.2 billion) and Mars Petcare, animal food (US$196 million).
