According to the specialist, J. Marcinkevičius was highly respected and valued in the community of colleagues, and his contribution was extremely significant.
“This is an excellent long-term manager of the library, who has trained specialists and is highly valued. Under his leadership, the library became one of the largest in Lithuania,” the portal said lrytas.lt said R. Cicėnienė.
According to the deputy director of the Vrublevskii library, J. Marcinkevičius knew how to listen to people and was able to lead them properly.
“He loved people very much, he took care of them. During his leadership, a lot of traditions were created in the library, which we still follow as a team,” said R. Cicėnienė.
As the portal already announced lrytas.lton Wednesday morning, emergency services were notified about a fire that broke out in a residential building in Vilnius. The general emergency center was informed about a house burning with an open flame on Rudauusi Sodų 13-oji street at 9 a.m. morning
The reporter indicated that there were people inside the house. The fire rescue forces of the Vilnius Board were dispatched to the scene of the incident, information about the incident was transferred to the Vilnius County Ambulance Station.
When the firefighters arrived, the wooden one-story house was already engulfed in flames. Firefighters took two elderly people out of the house.
The victims were handed over to medics, who revived them. Unfortunately, it was not possible to revive the victims. It remained for the doctors to declare the death of both people. It was established that the fire in the house claimed the lives of a woman (born in 1933) and a man (born in 1931).
Additional firefighters were called in to extinguish the fire. One firefighter was injured while fighting the fire. While trying to remove the people found in the house, a burst of fire burned the firefighter’s shoulders and back. He was taken to the hospital due to burns.
The fire was extinguished at 11 a.m. 29 min. After that, the finishing works took place.
The cause of the fire will have to be determined by experts.
