BOLZANO. The 37-year-old man accused of drugging, kidnapping for 24 hours and raping a 16-year-old girl in Bolzano remains in prison. The preliminary hearing at the Bolzano Court lasted two hours, at the end of which Gup Ivan Perathoner confirmed the preventive detention.
The man, an Italian from outside the region, would have come to Bolzano to work as a social-health worker. There would be other proceedings against him for sexual crimes, but of a less serious nature.
However, toxicological tests have already been ordered on the 16-year-old, to verify whether the medicines found in the man’s home are compatible with the substances that were allegedly administered to the girl.
The girl told investigators that she met the 37-year-old at a bus stop and was convinced to follow him to a techno party. During the journey, the girl allegedly drank water containing tranquilizers that stunned her, allowing the man to take her home for 24 hours and rape her.
The man is charged with aggravated sexual assault, kidnapping and supplying narcotics to a minor.
