Two young men in their 20s and 30s from Ashdod were arrested last night (Sunday) by the Lachish police station while they were allegedly on their way to carry out a criminal attack against another resident of the city. The two apparently made their way in a stolen vehicle. They are members of Shalom Domrani’s organization and the target of the attack was a member of Bnei Shlomo’s organization.
The suspects tried to escape from the police forces, and after a short distance were arrested, in possession of a gun and face masks, with which they allegedly planned to carry out their intention. The suspects were interrogated throughout the night in the SAR and this morning will be brought before the Magistrate’s Court with a request to extend their detention.
“The central unit in the Lachish area recorded another significant achievement tonight as part of its fight against criminal organizations, among them a buffer while thwarting violent crime incidents and preventing harm to human lives,” police said.
