The President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador He intensified his charge against Mexicans Against Corruption and Impunity (MCCI) by announcing two diplomatic measures and one fiscal measure against the organization, which it considers part of US interference in Mexico.

This Wednesday, after Pablo Gómez, head of the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) exhibited the income and expenses of MCCI, its donors, and the salaries of its collaborators over 7 years, the outgoing head of the Federal Executive announced a series of actions against it, which will begin with a letter to his US counterpart, Joe Biden:

“A. I am going to send a letter to the President of the United States, President (Joe) Bidenon this subject. And, in addition, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will make a diplomatic note on the same subject, because we consider that there is open interference by the United States government in matters that only correspond to the sovereignty of our country.”

And, although he has 47 days left in office, in accordance with Gómez Álvarez’s proposal, he is considering updating the regulations regarding the tax deduction of donations to organizations:

“We still have time to make some changes, to present legislative initiatives so that campaigns against the interests of the majority of Mexicans are not carried out with the people’s own resources.”

The above because –I continue- These types of deductions are resources that do not reach the Treasury and therefore are not used in the development of the country, in favor of the Mexicans, so with the current figure:

“They are being used for factional purposes, the budget is being misused and we have to review that.”

This Wednesday the UIF showed that since its creation in 2015, the organization has received contributions from 502 million 588 thousand 288 pesosincluding 96 million 740 thousand 613 pesos donated by the United States Embassy in Mexico, from August 29, 2018 to January 23, 2024.

Gonzalez and that throughout the six-year term texts have been published questioning his policies, and in response to the questioning:

– Could it be said that the US government was financing the intervention in the campaign? The press questioned.

– “Yes, they do intervene, they do intervene, we have to see how they justify it, how do they justify the United States giving money to this association? And then, how does this association justify the use of that money?” the president responded.

And to support his statements, he said that most of the injunctions that were filed against works such as the Mayan Train, as well as the push for the conservative bloc, as well as “getting involved” (according to his words) in political issues-electoral, in addition to being:

“They are participating in the dirty war against our movement and against the president of Mexico, in other words, we maintain that they are financing everything that the campaign costs on the internet, with the legend #NarcoPresidente.”
