jpnn.comSERANG – Weightlifter who won a gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics, Rizki Juniansyah, was paraded around Serang City, Banten Province, Wednesday (14/8).
He became the champion after completing a total lift of 354 kilograms from the 73 kg class.
JPNN Banten’s monitoring in the field, Rizki Juniansyah arrived in his hometown, immediately greeted by thousands of residents shouting the champion.
During the parade, he wore all-white clothing, which is the costume of the Indonesian contingent at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Rizki Juniansyah was paraded around Serang City in an open-backed car accompanied by the local regional head.
“Thank you to the residents of Serang City who welcomed us and held a procession all the way to our homes,” said Rizki Juniansyah to JPNN Banten, Wednesday (14/8).
Apart from hard work, according to Rizki Juniansyah, he won the gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics thanks to prayers from the community.
“Thank you also to everyone who prayed for me while watching together (nobar) when I competed,” concluded Rizki Juniansyah. (mcr34/jpnn)
