Two plots of land awarded in five years – Senate speaks of “good progress”

Berlin – The Senate wants to support the cooperatives in building apartments. However, the allocation of state-owned land to cooperatives is progressing only slowly. This emerges from the response of the Senate Department for Urban Development to a request from Deputy Kristian Ronneburg (left). From a list of 20 properties with which Berlin wanted to push the allocation of properties to cooperatives in 2017, less than half had come into the hands of the cooperatives by the beginning of 2022.
