Since yesterday, the President of the Council has been in Puglia, in the province of Brindisi, where she will spend a few days on vacation.
Last night she dined at Borgo Egnazia, the luxury resort that hosted the G7 in June, and then moved to the farmhouse that since last year seems to have been chosen as her retreat to rejuvenate from the efforts of Palazzo Chigi. With her is her daughter Ginevra, and her sister Arianna Meloni and her husband, Agriculture Minister Francesco Lollobrigida, are also expected to be there.
It is not excluded that her ex-partner Andrea Giambruno might join her: in a recent interview, the prime minister said that she would spend a few days of vacation with them. The Deputy Minister of Health, the Apulian Marcello Gemmato, is also expected.
In Ceglie Messapica, there is excitement; shopkeepers hope to meet the prime minister and take some selfies with her, as happened last year.
In Puglia, there is also the Deputy Prime Minister and League leader Matteo Salvini, who is spending his vacation in Salento.
