Fahs-Anjra: Delivery of a mobile medical unit for the benefit of rural residents

Equipped with modern, high-quality medical equipment, this mobile unit aims to bring health services closer to the rural population and contribute to strengthening the maternal and child health system.

This unit required a budget of 1.5 million dirhams, mobilized within the framework of a partnership project between the National Initiative for Human Development (INDH) in the province of Fahs-Anjra, the company for the Repowering of the Koudia Al Baida wind farm and the provincial delegation of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection.

This ceremony, which also took place in the presence of the presidents of communes and health officials in the province, is part of the implementation of INDH programs, aimed at promoting medical services for the benefit of the local population, the provincial delegate of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection in Fahs-Anjra, Lamiaa Dlimi, told MAP.

The official explained in this regard that this mobile unit is equipped with devices that allow it to offer several medical services to patients, namely ultrasound, vaccination, family planning and pregnancy monitoring.

This medical unit will be deployed according to a specific schedule, in order to extend services to all residents of the douars of the province of Fahs-Anjra, particularly those who are far away, and to contribute to the rapprochement of the provision of care, according to the strategy of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, she continued.

For his part, the director of the project “Repowering of the Koudia Al Baida wind farm”, Amine Yamou, affirmed that this medical unit aims to bring neonatal and obstetric care services closer to the inhabitants of the province of Fahs-Anjra.

He affirmed that the deployment of this service at the level of the douars and communes of the province of Fahs-Anjra will make it possible to provide quality care for the benefit of the local population.
