The Royal Speech, a reaffirmed will of the Sovereign in favor of the socio-economic development of Africa (Academic)
Rabat – The Speech delivered by HM King Mohammed VI to the Nation on the occasion of the 48th anniversary of the glorious Green March is the expression of the reaffirmed will of the Sovereign in favor of the growth and socio-economic development of the Kingdom and Africa, stressed the Dean of the Faculty of Legal, Economic and Social Sciences of Casablanca-Ain Sbaa, Idriss Abbadi.
In a statement to MAP, Mr. Abbadi indicated that the Royal Speech is also intended to be a strategy, with well-defined contours, to strengthen Morocco’s positioning as a continental and international leader and hub of economic integration for Africa, the academic said.
This strategy will allow, among other things, the national upgrading of the coastline, including the Atlantic coast of the Moroccan Sahara, he added, noting that His Majesty the King reiterated the Kingdom’s willingness to put its Atlantic positioning at the service of brotherly African countries.
In this Speech, he said, the Sovereign also laid the foundations of a new initiative aimed at creating an institutional framework bringing together the 23 Atlantic African States with a view to consolidating security, stability and common development in the region.
And the academic noted that the Royal Speech came to reiterate, if need be, that Morocco is resolutely determined to continue its momentum in favor of the progress of its Sahara and the development of the African continent thanks to its strategic positioning, particularly in the Atlantic.
