Doha – Morocco, under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, is an unwavering supporter of the Palestinian people, its firm and consistent positions having a great impact at the regional and international levels, said the Chairman of the Palestinian Journalists Syndicate, Abu Bakr Nasser.
In a statement to MAP, Mr. Nasser, who is also vice-president of the International Federation of Journalists, stressed that Morocco’s political positions and actions are very important and will contribute to finding a solution to end the war waged by Israel against the Palestinians.
Referring to the depth of historical relations between Morocco and Palestine, he indicated that the Palestinian people are watching Morocco’s positions, because of their impact on the Palestinian cause and the quest for a solution leading to the establishment of an independent state with Al-Quds as its capital.
Morocco’s positions are characterized by speed and efficiency, he said, welcoming in this regard the content of the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Abroad, which calls on Israel to respect international humanitarian law, deploring the inability of the international community to exert pressure to end the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people.
Mr. Nasser also praised Morocco’s decision, under the high instructions of His Majesty the King, to send emergency humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people, a large part of which was delivered to the Gaza Strip in coordination with the Egyptian Red Crescent.
In the same vein, he highlighted the major role played by the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Agency, under the High Royal Instructions, through humanitarian initiatives and projects in many areas.
