Ofer Eliyahu, son of Shlomo Eliyahu, who controls the tower, died

Ofer Eliyahu, a former CEO of Migdal who also served as chairman of the Association of Insurance Companies, died unexpectedly when he was only 64 years old, after suffering a heart attack.

Ofer Eliyahu is the eldest of two (along with two daughters) of Shlomo Eliyahu, who controls the Migdal insurance company – he served for four and a half years as CEO of Migdal.

Eliyahu Jr. also served as chairman of the Association of Insurance Companies and in the past also as CEO of Eliyahu Insurance – the family’s original insurance company. In recent days he has been hospitalized. His funeral will take place tomorrow at 3:00 PM in Kiryat Shaul.
