A polio vaccination camp was held across Tamil Nadu today. Minister of Management Palanivel Thiagarajan inaugurated the event which was held at the Madurai Government Hospital.
District Collector Anish Shekar, Madurai Government Hospital ‘Dean’ Rathinavel, Deputy Director of Health Senthilkumar and officials were present.
Special camps were set up in various parts of the district, including the Matuttavani bus stand, the railway station and the airport. 7 thousand 636 people were involved for this.
According to Madurai District Deputy Director of Health Senthilkumar, polio vaccination camps were conducted at 705 places in Madurai district. He said the target was to provide polio drops to 2 lakh 66 thousand children today alone.
