This years the MTV VMAs are returning to New York and will be celebrated on September 11. As part of the announcements, it was revealed that the singer Katy Perry will be entitled to the Video Vanguard Awardan award that recognizes the artists’ legacy and contribution to musical culture.
The American joins the select group composed of Shakira, Michael Jackson, Madonna, Beyoncé, Kanye West, Rihanna, among others who have received the award.

This comes amid the announcement of their upcoming study material titled 143. In this, Perry promises an album full of dance pop and festive lyrics. According to the American, it will be available on September 20 in various formats such as CD, vinyl and even cassette.
The singer recently presented “Lifetimes”a dance-style single in which she gives a preview of what will be her new era, which began with “Woman’s World,” a track that received severe criticism for collaborating with producer Dr. Luke.
