(Web Desk) A man on a boat saved the life of a sea turtle whose neck was badly entangled in a plastic fishing net and could have died at any moment.
A Tunisian fisherman, Mashar Joui Alaa, shared a video on his Instagram of the incident that happened during his underwater hunting activities, which went viral on social media.
A social media user also thanked the famous Joey Alaa after watching the video. In the video, it can be seen that Alaa saw a turtle stuck in a net by the neck struggling in the sea and came close to save it.
Alaa took the turtle out of the water which was trapped in a plastic net, placed the turtle on the boat and very carefully separated the net from its neck with the help of a knife.
The ropes of the net were also stuck around the turtle’s legs, which Aladdin gently removed and then released the turtle into the sea.

While social media users praised Joey Alaa for saving the turtle, people also talked about the harmful effects of plastic pollution on the environment.
Plastic pollution has a serious impact on water bodies and the environment, plastic thrown into rivers, lakes and oceans turns into microplastics which are consumed by aquatic organisms including plankton, fish and marine animals and can cause death.
