Mukundan about Ott Releases: ‘Malayalees watch movies in ODT, I like to watch movies in theaters’: M Mukundan – writer m mukundan open up about autorikshawkkarante bharya movie and ott releases

by time news
Writer M. Mukundan said that only the upper class of Malayalees watch movies on OTT. He was talking about his new film ‘Autorickshaw Driver’, which was his first story, screenplay and dialogue. With the release of OTT, the movie will be seen all over the world within hours. But there are no ordinary people in that audience. Cinematography is a part of our culture. Autorickshaw drivers, cooks and blacksmiths are just some of the common people who watch movies in the theater.

They not only need to watch movies. Going to the theater with the family, the hustle and bustle of the theater, the hustle and bustle of getting tickets, going out for a break and eating something so there are a lot of fun moments that ordinary people get there. They really enjoy it all. There are no such possibilities in OTT.
I like watching movies in theaters. It would be great if it came to OTT after its theatrical release. I think it is a movie that should be seen on the big screen in the theater, ”M. Mukundan said.

The audience who sees the film critically is only Malayalees. Audiences do not view the film critically in any other language. Either good or bad is their position. But Malayalees approach the film with a critical mind. Similarly, Malayalees are interested in making social issues into films. M Mukundan said that many films have been very successful due to their social themes. ‘Autorickshaw Driver’s Wife’, which I wrote the story and screenplay for, is a very socially relevant film. The theme of the film is women empowerment. The autorickshaw driver’s wife is directed by renowned director Harikumar and produced by KV Abdul Nasser under the banner of Benz Productions. The theme of the film is a short story that appeared in Mathrubhumi Weekly in 2016. M Mukundan said that the film is a development of that story.
