A video was spread through social media of the exact moment when alleged agents of the Puebla State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) detained him and told him that they would execute the arrest warrant against him for alleged extortion.
However, Arturo Rueda told the agents that he has a federal injunction, but they told him “you can sort it out with your lawyers right now.”
Later, the ministerial officers put him in a van headed to the State Investigation Prosecutor’s Office.

This is not the first time Arturo Rueda has been captured
On May 21, 2022, the newspaper’s director was also arrested in the Mexico City for alleged accusations of operations with resources of illicit origin.
The capture was carried out by elements of the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for Kidnapping and Extortion Investigation.
He was later taken to Cholula at the request of a judge who required the presence of Rueda, accused of the alleged crime of extortion committed in 2015. The Puebla Prosecutor’s Office dismissed the hearing on two occasions.
After this, the journalist was imprisoned in the prison San Pedro Cholula and was later transferred to the Tepexi medium security prison.

The journalist was waiting for the final acquittal, since the Puebla Prosecutor’s Office was unable to prove the accusations against Rueda.
