jpnn.comPENAJAM PASER UTARA – MPR Chairman Bambang Soesatyo alias Bamsoet said the honor roll call and sacred reflection which are part of the series of commemorations of the Anniversary of Indonesian Independence must be used as a means of introspection and self-awareness.
This is to review the meaning of independence in the journey of national life, whether in the efforts to achieve the nation’s ideals it has moved forward, is still stagnant, or has actually regressed.
“The ideals of the Indonesian nation are clear as formulated in the opening of the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia,” said Bamsoet in his written statement, Saturday (17/8).
He mentioned the ideals of the Indonesian nation in Makaud, namely protecting the nation and all of Indonesia’s blood, and advancing public welfare.
Then, to enlighten the life of the nation, and to participate in implementing world order based on eternal peace and social justice.
The 20th chairman of the DPR said that the nation’s founders and heroes had also inherited Pancasila as the ideological foundation, the foundation of morality, the foundation of the personality of the Indonesian nation, and as a guide in filling independence.
“Pancasila is like a poem that dances softly in every word and sentence, it is a sincere and pure statement of love from the nation’s founders for all Indonesian people,” he explained.
Bamsoet added that Pancasila is not just five principles, but is a deep commitment, a sacred vow to maintain and preserve diversity and unity.
