London: An Air India air hostess was attacked in a London hotel. The attacker secretly entered the air hostess’ room and suddenly attacked her. Fortunately, hearing the air hostess’ screams, her colleagues in the adjacent rooms immediately rushed to help. After this, the attacker tried to run away, but was caught. An official has said that the injured girl was taken to the hospital from where she has returned to India. The air hostess is being counseled.

Confirming the incident, an Air India spokesperson said, “We are deeply saddened by the incident of unlawful intrusion into a hotel operated by a major international chain. One of our crew members has been injured. We are providing all possible support, including professional counselling, to our colleague and his wider team. Air India is working with the local police to bring the matter to the fullest extent of the law and work with the hotel management to ensure that such incidents do not recur,” reported our sister publication Times of India.
The attacker attacked from the hangar
The airline said it “attaches the highest priority to the safety, security and well-being of our crew and staff.” It requested that “the privacy of those involved be respected.” The incident took place shortly after midnight at the Radisson Hotel London Heathrow. Cabin crew members from several Air India flights were present at the hotel that night. “The air hostess was sleeping when an intruder attacked her in her room at around 1.30 am. She woke up startled and screamed for help. He attacked her with a clothes hanger and dragged her on the floor. During this time, the air hostess also tried to run towards the door,” sources said.
The air hostess was taken to hospital
According to sources, on hearing the voice, her fellow crew members immediately came forward to rescue her. However, during this time she was badly injured. Other members of the cabin crew caught the attacker and called the police. The injured air hostess was taken to the hospital, but she could not go back to duty. In such a situation, another member of the cabin crew stayed with her. It is being told that the police is investigating the matter and the intruder has been arrested.
