For his part, the Mayor of Ubari, Ahmed Matko, confirmed that the municipality has taken all measures with the relevant authorities to confront the rains; pointing out the necessity of supporting the Red Crescent, the Social Affairs Sector and Civil Defense with logistical supplies in anticipation of any emergency.

Matko pointed out that the municipality did not receive any support from the two governments to confront any potential repercussions resulting from the weather fluctuations in the southwestern regions.

In the Bint Baya area, the municipality formed an operations room to monitor the situation in the city 24 hours a day in anticipation of any emergency due to weather fluctuations.

The mayor, Ashraf Al-Muslih, said in a statement to Al-Ahrar that the municipality sent 4 ambulances to Tahala, and gave instructions to the mayors of the municipalities to follow the paths of the valleys.
